Those Russian mafioso perhaps put their money on Zenit and tried to bribe the referee or maybe the linesmen. I remember about a year ago when Liverpool beat Besiktas 8-0 in champions league there were some rumours also about gambling mafia involved because there's an unregular betting pattern for that match.
